Description

This design project is kindly supported by Sanei metallic work place(三栄金属製作所). Press-working is a basic method for metallic plate processing. Although it produces metal products with any desirable shape in extremely short time, metal scraps accumulate in accordance with operation time as by-product. I proposed a lampshade made of two pieces of metal scraps of IH disc, which is used for fixing waterproof sheets of roofs. The contrast of light and shadow reminds us the background of fabrication.

It is inevitable to produce scraps as by-product.

Metal scraps become valuable lampshades.

The silhouette is not just elegant, but also reminds us of the background of fabrication.
